Iberia once again ranks among the world’s ten most punctual airlines in 2025. According to Cirium’s On-Time Performance Review, the aviation industry’s benchmark annual report on punctuality, the Spanish airline achieved an on-time arrival rate of 83.52% across a total of 188,447 flights throughout the year.

The ranking of the world’s ten most punctual airlines is completed by Aeroméxico (90.02%), Saudia (86.53%), SAS (86.09%), Azul (85.18%), Qatar Airways (84.42%), LATAM Airlines (82.40%), Avianca (81.73%), Turkish Airlines (81.41%) and Delta Air Lines (80.90%). This category includes airlines with the highest levels of Available Seat Kilometres (ASK), specifically those that rank among the top 10% globally in terms of ASK and operate in at least three regions.

“Once again being ranked among the world’s most punctual airlines is an achievement that fills us with pride and reflects the effort, coordination and commitment of everyone at the company. These recognitions also encourage us to continue improving our standards, always with safety as the foundation of all our operations. Punctuality is not just a goal, but a daily motivation to keep improving and to further consolidate Iberia as an international benchmark for quality and reliability,” said Ramiro Sequeira, Iberia’s Director of Operations.

Iberia also ranks among the most punctual airlines in Europe too, securing fourth place with an 83.52% on-time arrival rate.

Iberia Express, Europe’s most punctual airline in 2025

Iberia Express tops the ranking of Europe’s most punctual airlines, with an 88.94% on-time arrival rate. The airline operated more than 37,000 flights throughout the year, consolidating a reliable, robust and efficient operating model focused on delivering the best possible service to its customers.

Over its nearly 14 years of operations, Iberia Express has been recognised as the world’s most punctual low-cost airline on six occasions and, consecutively, as Europe’s most punctual airline in 2023, 2024 and 2025—a milestone that highlights the quality of its processes and the strength of its operations.
Carlos Gómez, CEO of Iberia Express, said: “This is the greatest recognition of the daily work carried out by every member of the Iberia Express team—their effort, commitment and consistency. Every day we strive to deliver an excellent operation, with the highest safety standards and the best possible experience for our customers. Leading this ranking once again is a great source of pride for us all.”

The ranking of Europe’s most punctual airlines in 2025 is completed by SAS (86.09%), Austrian Airlines (83.74%), Virgin Atlantic (83.45%), Icelandair (83.23%), Vueling (82.20%), Turkish Airlines (81.41%), Norwegian (80.96%) and Finnair (79.67%).

In 2025, Iberia Express operated 37,119 flights with a regularity rate of 99.76%, one of the highest in the industry. This indicator reflects the airline’s very low cancellation rate, most of which are due to factors beyond the company’s control and are almost always recovered on the same day. This performance is aligned with Iberia Express’s commitment to connectivity for its customers, particularly in the Balearic and Canary Islands—its main markets—where operational reliability is essential for residents, businesses and visitors alike.
