In February 2023, Iberia was the second most punctual airline in the world according to the international consulting firm Cirium -formerly FlightStats-.
In February, 89.57% of the 12,461 flights operated by the Spanish airline arrived on time, an improvement of three percentage points compared to January, placing the airline in second place in the punctuality ranking of Global Airlines. This category refers specifically to those airlines that rank in the top 10 per cent of companies with the highest ASKs in the market and that, in addition, operate in three regions of the world.

“For the second consecutive month, we are on the podium of the most punctual airlines in the world. On this occasion, we are in second place, after leading the ranking last month, but the best news is that we have improved our punctuality rate by three percentage points: 89.6% of our flights arrived on time at their destination, thanks to the firm commitment of the more than 17,000 people who create Iberia and who strive to offer a better service every day. The Most Punctual Airline in the World in January
Last month, Iberia was the most punctual airline in the world, with 86.6% of its flights arriving on time. This recognition is added to the one obtained last year, when Iberia was named as the most punctual airline in Europe in 2022, after leading the punctuality ranking from May to October, for six consecutive months.
