The Dominican Republic, Washington DC, Fuerteventura, Berlin, and Much More in Ronda Iberia Magazine

RONDA mayo-junio
  • It includes a fashion report on the new uniforms that the airline will debut in June

May has just arrived, and so has the new issue of Ronda Iberia magazine --a very “natural” issue, full of hints for enjoying the outdoors on every continent.

The cover story is devoted to the Dominican Republic, the second largest country in the Caribbean, with more than 1,600 km of coastline and more than 200 beaches.

We invite you to sleep in a tree house, sample signature cuisine dishes, and learn about the country’s history in the capital, Santo Domingo.

The three recommendations by the magazine’s editor are also in the Dominican Republic: a visit to Parque Nacional Los Tres Ojos and its watery cenotes, trying the bocadillos de pierna asada (roast pork sandwiches), and enjoying a cocktail in a bar with views of the cathedral.

And we continue to additional “natural” destinations, with a report on Fuerteventura. Turquoise water, endless sand dunes, volcanic landscapes --a spectacular Biosphere Reserve.

Puerto Rico is the magazine’s third recommendation. Sustainability and tradition are a perfect combination, from farm to table.

The illustrated map in this edition is of Washington DC, a cinematic city to which Iberia will be flying from Spain starting on 1 June. The Capitol building, the White House, and the Supreme Court have appeared in countless Hollywood films. We encourage you to embark on a very cinematographic journey.

And speaking of films, the last report in this edition is about Berlin and its famous Cold War bridge, a meeting point for spies in fiction and real life.

On 1 June we will not only debut our flights to Washington DC and Dallas and resume our flights to San Francisco; we will also be showing off our new uniforms, designed by Teresa Helbig.

Two members of the airline’s staff, Cristina Martín Sánchez and Juanjo Mazuera, pose for Ronda at Iberia maintenance hangar at Madrid Airport. Here, you can enjoy a first glimpse of the uniforms which our flight crews and our ground staff at Madrid airport will be wearing in just under a month.

And we come to the end of the issue with an interview with Miguel Ángel Muñoz, the glamorous presenter of the PLATINO Awards, Ibero-America’s annual film awards, who talks to us about his “Tata” (Grandma), mental health, loneliness, and ageing.

We hope you enjoy reading this issue.
