Iberia today launched its Iberia Plus Flight, the only flight that requires Avios to take off. This is an exclusive initiative for Iberia Plus customers, who will be able to book their plane tickets by redeeming Avios.
For these special flights, the airline chose two of the most popular summer destinations: the Greek island of Santorini and the Sicilian city of Catania.
Iberia Plus customers will be able to book their tickets for the Catania flight from 2,100 Avios + €73.80 each way and a maximum of 8,250 Avios + €23.80, and they may redeem their Avios by segments, that is, without having to buy a round trip. In the case of Santorini, the minimum is 2,750 Avios + €83.80 and the maximum 11,000 Avios + €23.80.
The flights offered through this exclusive Avios system are Madrid-Santorini (7 July), Santorini-Madrid (14 July), Madrid-Catania (27 July) and Catania-Madrid (3 August).
With this initiative, the airline seeks to reward the loyalty of Iberia Plus customers by offering them an exclusive trip, with special features throughout the flight.

Members of Iberia’s loyalty programme can earn Avios when they purchase flights on partner airlines, as well as with stays at international hotel chains, car rentals, refuelling, and other purchases at more than a hundred Iberia partners. Avios can be redeemed when purchasing flights, hotel stays, car rentals, and multi-day getaways and leisure experiences.
