  • The airline will offer 3,354,159 seats, representing a 7.6% increase compared to last summer
  • Argentina will see 23 weekly frequencies between June and August, reaching up to four daily flights
  • On 2 June, Iberia will launch its new route to Monterrey, offering 36,288 seats through the end of the season
  • Iberia’s strong commitment to Brazil is reflected in a 15% increase in available seats this summer
  • Capacity to the Dominican Republic will increase by 21% in number of seats

Iberia has prepared a record-breaking summer season for its Latin America operations, significantly increasing its capacity to connect the region with Europe. The airline will offer a total of 3,354,159 seats, marking a 7.6% growth compared to the previous summer season. Latin America and Europe will be connected every week with up to 366 flights.

These figures reinforce Iberia’s leadership in this air corridor and are made possible by the development of its Flight Plan 2030. The plan’s implementation is enabling the incorporation of new aircraft, thereby increasing seat capacity and supporting the launch of new destinations across the region.

This seat increase is concentrated in key markets such as Argentina, where operations to Buenos Aires will rise to 23 weekly frequencies during June, July and August, up from the current 21. As a result, Buenos Aires will become the airline’s first long-haul destination to exceed three daily flights. On this route alone, Iberia will offer 456,000 seats, 12% more than last summer, consolidating the Argentine capital as the airline’s Latin American destination with the highest number of frequencies.

Mexico will also see a capacity increase with the launch of a new route in the country. From 2 June, Iberia will begin operating direct flights between Madrid and Monterrey, with three weekly frequencies, amounting to 36,288 seats during the summer season.

This significant growth also extends to Brazil. The recent addition of Recife and Fortaleza, together with increased operations to Rio de Janeiro, will allow Iberia to offer close to 400,000 seats, 15% more than in the previous summer.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic will also benefit from enhanced connectivity. During the European summer season, the destination will have between 10 and 11 weekly frequencies, compared to the 7–8 weekly flights operated in 2025. This will result in a seat capacity increase of more than 21%.

Connectivity between Puerto Rico and Europe will also expand this summer, rising from 7–9 weekly frequencies operated in 2025 to 10–12 weekly frequencies this year.

Additionally, the Santiago de Chile–Madrid route will see increased seat capacity for the summer season, following the rise in frequencies over the past year to the current 12 weekly flights — equivalent to two daily flights five days per week. As a result, Iberia will offer nearly 240,000 seats between the two cities, 7% more than in the same period last year.
