Anticipating a recovery in holiday travel this summer, Iberia is adding frequencies on many routes, resuming service to many former sun and sand destinations, and even adding new ones, including the Maldives in the Indian Ocean, Ljubljana in Slovenia, and the Portuguese Azores islands in the Atlantic.
Iberia’s social media followers clamoured for the Azores and Ljubljana when asked to choose a new summer destination.
On 2 June the Azores capital Ponta Delgada will become Iberia’s 114th destination. It will fly there from Madrid twice a week in July and August.
