On May 21, Iberia will unveil its 143rd destination: Espacio Iberia Madrid. For the fourth consecutive year, the airline’s popup lands in the capital to showcase the onboard experience available to customers flying to any of Iberia’s destinations. This year, Espacio Iberia Madrid will be located in the Serrería Belga Cultural Space, on Calle Alameda 15, near Plaza de las Letras and the Landscape of Light.

Spanning three floors and 1,000 square meters, the space invites both, Iberia customers and the general public to discover everything the airline offers onboard. The highlight of this edition is a unique dining experience: Iberia Plus members can enjoy the airline’s long-haul Business Class menu free of charge in a dedicated restaurant with table service. This service is available in two lunch sittings from Friday to Saturday and one dinner sitting from Thursday to Saturday. Before dinner, guests will be welcomed with an aperitif served in the next-generation A350 seats, available in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.

Visitors can also explore Iberia’s newest aircraft, the A321XLR, for which the airline was the global launch customer in November. Two Business Class seats have been installed in the space, featuring full-flat beds arranged in a herringbone layout, offering direct aisle and window access for maximum privacy and comfort.

Interactive Experiences

Among the most popular attractions are the interactive experiences, which can be booked in advance. The flight simulator returns, allowing guests to take off and land at various Iberia destinations under the guidance of an instructor.

Birdly, a virtual reality flight simulator, offers the sensation of flying like a bird using VR goggles and a motion system controlled by arm movements. Visitors can also try out Apple Vision headsets to explore a virtual aircraft engine and see how it’s dismantled piece by piece.

More from Espacio Iberia

Throughout its four-week run, Espacio Iberia Madrid will host wine, beer, coffee, and product tastings from Iberia destinations, along with cultural activities related to those places.

Guests can also learn about Iberia’s social impact and sustainability initiatives, discover the benefits of the Iberia Plus loyalty program, and participate in contests to win Avios. A shop will offer exclusive Iberia merchandise, including vintage posters, the iconic Las Meninas salt and pepper shakers from Business Class, a limited-edition red handbag from Teresa Helbig’s uniform design, and A321XLR aircraft models.

Iberia’s “Talento a Bordo” program returns with live talks and performances. Featured guests include singers Christina Rosenvinge, Rozalén, and Lori Meyers, chef Hugo Muñoz (Ugo Chan), and the hosts of popular podcasts Arsénico Caviar and Las Hijas de Felipe.
