Iberia is celebrating the Christmas holidays in a big way this year, flashing messages to the sky from the world’s largest greeting card.

In a matrix measuring 120×230 meters on a 28,800 square meter lot near the Madrid airport, 2,600 LED screens with a total of four million pixels will project holiday greetings into the sky, where they can be seen from aircraft preparing to land.
The screen will be active early in the morning when many Iberia flights come in, and again after dark.
Messages from Earth to Sky
Iberia has created a special website, www.navidadIberia.com, where it has invited its customers to write their own messages of up to 55 characters, specifying the flight number of the intended recipient of the message. For more information, watch this video about the world’s biggest Christmas card.
