We join in “Fundación Juegaterapia” Applause Campaing as a Tribute to Children with Cancer

  • Today is International Childhood Cancer Day and Iberia customers and staff pay tribute to all children fighting cancer.
  • The Baby Pelones dolls made by the Fundación Juegaterapia [Play Therapy Foundation] are on sale aboard all Iberia’s long-haul flights.
  • Underprivileged children and those fighting illness are two of the priorities of the Spanish airline’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy.

 

On International Childhood Cancer Day, Iberia joins with the “Juegaterapia” [Play Therapy] foundation in it is tribute to all children fighting the disease every day. Iberia customers and staff are encouraged to applaud these brave children and a video has been made to encourage others to take part in this ovation of solidarity under the hashtags #AplausoIberia and #AplausoJuegaterapia.

Iberia cooperates with the “Juegaterapia” organization by offering its emblematic Baby Pelones dolls for sale aboard its long-haul flights, with a total of 3,600 Baby Pelones sold in the past two years, with the entire proceeds going to cancer research and the building of play gardens of the roofs of a number of Spanish hospitals where young patients can forget their troubles.

Children are prioritised under Iberia’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy, and the airline also cooperates regularly with UNICEF, Make a Wish Foundation, Save the Children, and “Mano a Mano”, the NGO founded by Iberia employees.
