Starting this week, Iberia is raising the number of weekly Tokyo-Madrid return flights from three to five.
The increase coincides with the second anniversary of the October 2016 launch of Iberia’s direct Tokyo-Madrid route.
Only Iberia offers non-stop flights to Madrid and easy connections to a score of Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Granada, Seville, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, and Valencia.
Celia Muñoz, Iberia’s sales chief for Asia, Europe and USA, commented that “we are delighted to be growing so robustly in the Japanese market, and this is now a strategic route for the airline. Despite the distance, our countries have much in common, including mutual admiration, and we know our flights help strengthen these ties. Japan is now in fashion in Spain, and we’re sure that Spain and Madrid will soon be in Japan.”
The flight schedule on the Tokyo-Madrid route will be as follows, starting on Sunday, 21 October.
| FLIGHT NO. | FROM | DEPARTURE | TO | ARRIVAL | WHEN |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| IB6801 | Tokyo | 12:20 | Madrid | 18:35 | Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday |
| IB6800 | Madrid | 13:00 | Tokyo | 10:45 (+1) | Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday |
