The Royal Spanish Tennis Federation and Iberia have signed an agreement whereby the Spanish airline becomes an official sponsor of the national men’s, women’s, and junior tennis teams, and also the official airline for team travel.
The airline will also sponsor Spain’s Davis Cup team, the women’s team competing in the Federation Cup, and the junior championships.
The agreement calls for special fares and conditions for travel by the various Royal Tennis Federation teams and also for events organized by it.
It also calls for Iberia to fund a grant to support lower-level competitions and to promote emerging talent.
Guillermo G. Vallina, Iberia’s Director of Sales Spain, says “We are proud to sponsor the Federation and our tennis players, all of them ambassadors of the Spanish brand, representing the effort, commitment, and teamwork which we value so highly in Iberia.”
The agreement with Spain’s tennis federation comes within the framework of the airline’s Talento a bordo programme for promoting Spanish talent, culture, and sports around the world.
