Iberia designed a series of special actions to surprise its customers during Christmas, with special details on board to celebrate the holiday period.
The airline will offer nougat and marzipan to its customers on all flights. In addition, on long-haul flights, a special menu has been prepared for customers traveling in the Business cabin, with a Christmas meal that includes roast turkey breast and braised thigh with Christmas stuffing on a cranberry demi-glace. Along with this main course, the dessert offered in the Business cabin will be a chocolate and caramelized pineapple semi-sphere, while in Premium Economy and Economy passengers will be served a chocolate mousse with Christmas spice crumble.
On medium-haul flights, Business passengers will enjoy a creamy vanilla cake with a raspberry jelly layer on a spiced gingerbread base.
Additionally, to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, customers travelling from Latin America to Madrid on 31 December will be offered grapes and cava to toast 2024.
Roscón de Reyes with A Big Surprise
On 6 January, on the occasion of the Three Kings' Day holiday, Iberia will distribute the traditional Three Kings' roscón with 230,000 Avios hidden inside, which will be distributed on long-haul flights taking off from Madrid and in the Business cabins of the rest of the flights. There will be a special prize of 100,000 Avios, a second prize of 50,000 and 80 prizes of 1,000 Avios.

This is not the only surprise prepared by the airline for the Three Kings’ holiday: for the fourth consecutive year, Iberia offers a video call with the Three Wise Men, so that children can meet them and talk with them.
Anyone who wishes to contact the Three Wise Men must simply visit www.reyesmagos.iberia.com from any mobile device between 25 December and 5 January.
The video call to the Three Wise Men has become a Christmas tradition in which Their Majesties speak to all children, and also those who are not so young, greeting them by name, talking to them about their hobbies, and encouraging them to stick to their New Year’s resolutions.
New Gastrobar Menu
The last month of the year also brings important new features in the gastrobar service, with the premiere of a new on-board menu. One of the dishes most in demand by customers, the croque Monsieur, is back, as well as a new hot dog with brioche bun heated in the oven for 15 minutes and served with ketchup and mustard.
In addition, new savoury snacks are on offer, such as sea salt crisps and seed-bread, free from the 14 main allergens.
As for the sweets menu, the new menu features a chocolate muffin, Lotus cookies, Pancracio chocolate and PLAYin Choc organic chocolate for the little ones. Also, over Christmas a special and delicious cookie with chocolate and cherry flavour will be offered.
Changes in the Pre-Order Service
Starting this December, customers can place their pre-orders 12 hours in advance if the flight departs from Madrid and 18 hours in advance if it departs from any other city. The new winter menu includes a Coronation sandwich with turkey meat and curry, new salads with chicken and grapefruit and mango sauce, and with goat cheese and apple rolls. Main courses include pasta with mushroom sauce and meat lasagna. For dessert, the airline offers its customers a new chocolate cake with a raspberry layer.

Christmas also comes to the in-flight entertainment system, with a special category called 'It's Christmas' in which customers can enjoy classics such as Love Actually, The Grinch and Home Alone, and television premieres such as Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas, Inside M&S At Christmas and Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas.
The in-flight entertainment system also includes several new releases, such as the premiere of the films Barbie, Mystery in Venice, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part I, Americanish, The Equalizer 3, Grand Turismo, Adult Life Skills, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.
