  • In three years, more than 100 million Avios have been earnt by customers who have joined the Fly with Endesa programme, which is equivalent to more than 1,500 round-the-world flights.
  • The signing of the new agreement is linked to a new campaign where customers who register will get 1,000 welcome Avios, without the need to purchase any additional services or change their terms and conditions, just for being customers of the energy company.

Endesa and IAG continue to work together to offer their customers benefits. The energy company has renewed its agreement with Iberia Plus and Vueling Club for a further three years, enabling Endesa customers and members of Iberia and Vueling’s loyalty programme to accumulate Avios, which they can use to purchase or obtain discounts on flights, as well as book other services such as hotel stays, car hires and leisure activities. The agreement could potentially benefit Endesa's 6.2 million electricity customers in the free market in Spain.

The Vuela con Endesa alliance has already delivered more than 100 million Avios to customers who joined the programme, equivalent to more than 1,500 round-the-world flights or around 50,000 long-haul flight hours. Now, with the renewal of the agreement, registered customers will be able to continue to earn Avios, while new customers will have the opportunity to sign up and start taking advantage of the partnership.

The energy company has launched a loyalty campaign in which customers who have not yet registered with the alliance can obtain 1,000 Welcome Avios (up from 200) and 50 more every month if they register before 10 February 2023, without having to purchase any additional services or change their terms and conditions, simply for being Endesa customers. In addition, all those who are not yet customers and sign up for electricity, gas and maintenance services can obtain up to 12,500 Avios.

To benefit from the agreement, customers must have an Iberia Plus or Vueling Club card, which can be obtained free of charge from the website. After that, all they have to do is visit the endesa.com Customer Area and, in the "Customer benefits" and "Fly with Endesa" sections, go to the "Advantages of being a customer" and "Fly with Endesa" sections. Once there, they can register using their Iberia Plus or Vueling Club card quickly and easily.

Maite González, Endesa's Residential and Business Director, explains that "This agreement is being very well received by customers and, with its renewal, we are continuing our commitment to customer loyalty by offering them additional benefits for being Endesa customers".

Gabriel Perdiguero, Iberia's Director of Customers, Transformation and IT, said, "We are delighted to be working with Endesa. This agreement allows us to bring all the advantages of the Iberia Plus programme to another large segment of customers; it also provides them with new ways of obtaining Avios and, in short, gives our loyalty programme greater added value for our customers".

Iberia created its Iberia Plus programme in 1990 to reward the loyalty of its best customers with flights and other exclusive benefits. Today, the programme has more than 10 million cardholders and offers six card levels: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum, Infinita and Infinita Prime. With the Iberia Plus card, every time an Iberia flight is booked or services are contracted with Endesa, Avios are earned which can be redeemed for flights, hotel stays, car hires and other services.
