In April 2023 Iberia was the most punctual airline in the world, according to the ranking prepared by the international consulting firm Cirium -formerly FlightStats-.
In April, 87.28% of the 13,929 flights operated by the Spanish airline arrived on time, an improvement of six percentage points compared to March, placing it first in the punctuality ranking among Global Airlines. This category includes the airlines with the most Available Seat-Kilometres (ASK) in the market; specifically, they must be among the 10% of airlines with the most ASKs in the world and, in addition, operate in at least three regions.
The most punctual in the world also in January
In the first month of 2023, Iberia was also the most punctual airline in the world, with 86.6% of its flights arriving on time. This recognition is added to the one obtained last year, when Iberia was the most punctual airline in Europe in 2022, after having also been so from May to October, for six consecutive months.
The most valuable tourism brand in Spain
According to the latest report by the international consultancy Brand Finance, Iberia is the most valuable brand related to the tourism sector in Spain.
According to this ranking, which assesses the brand of companies in the country and its contribution to the business itself, Iberia is ranked 22nd in the general ranking this year, an improvement of 10 places compared to 2022, making it one of the most positive evolutions in the ranking. Iberia revamped its brand in 2014 and since then has achieved sustained growth in brand value. Specifically, in the last year that revaluation has been close to 30%, according to Brand Finance.
