The airline’s customers and the general public will be able to enjoy the Iberia experience and find out about its latest news, as well as take part in activities such as show-cooking, coffee, wine and beer tasting, as well as flight simulator.

Visitors to the Espacio Iberia will be able to have a taste of the experience on board Iberia flights, sample the airline’s meals, and even try on the historical uniforms worn by the airline's staff.

The Espacio Iberia is located at Calle Maestro Victoria, 3, and is open from 12 to 9pm every day, including holidays, from today until 1 July.

A Business Class experience in the hart of Madrid

At the Espacio Iberia, the cabin of a New Generation A350 aircraft has been recreated, with two Business seats, four Premium Economy seats and another four Economy seats, where customers and the general public can enjoy the experience as it is offered at 30,000 feet, without having to leave the ground.

There they will have the opportunity to taste the new meals offered on board while enjoying the comfort of the seats in the Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

They will be able to sample the on-board meals, prepared daily by DO&CO in their kitchens and based on the richness of the Mediterranean diet, with high-quality raw materials and local seasonal products.

Talent on Board

The Espacio Iberia will host numerous events with figures from disciplines as diverse as sport, audiovisual production, literature, and fashion. The first of these talks, under the title "Lyrics and Music", will feature the singer Rozalén and the actress Itziar Ituño, and will take place on 26 May at 7:00pm.

Audiovisual creation will be the focus on 31 May, with an event featuring Diego San José and Gorka Otxoa, on "How to make a television series", and on 19 June, with a talk by the director Alauda Ruiz de Azúa entitled "How to build a film”. The world of theatre will also be explored, with Natalia Millán and Julio Bravo, who will discuss the musical theatre genre.

The journalists Gervasio Sánchez and Mónica García Prieto will give a talk entitled “Live through the war to tell the story”, which deals with their experience as war correspondents, on 2 June.

There will also be space for sport, on 8 June, with the Iberia Talento a Bordo Team, 12 athletes whom Iberia is supporting in their training for Paris 2024, including the gymnast Ray Zapata and the taekwondo player Adriana Cerezo. And on 29 June it will be the turn of José Manuel Calderón, a former basketball player and champion of the Basketball World Cup and Eurobasket, who will talk about the lessons that basketball has taught him.

Fashion will be the protagonist on 9 June, with Palomo Spain (“Dressing identity”), and on 28 June, with a meeting between the writer Elvira Lindo and the designer Teresa Helbig, who will talk about how to dress a character.

Show-cooking and coffee, wine and beer tastings

Iberia offers an extensive wine list on board its flights, selected from among the best Spanish denominations of origin by the Wine Club. In the Espacio Iberia, several tastings will be held every week, in which a sommelier from the Wine Club will be in charge of sharing with visitors all the secrets of each wine. For beer lovers, there will also be guided tastings by a Mahou beer sommelier.

Additionally, three times a week there will be a show-cooking event, in which Iberia’s catering provider, DO&CO, will share the unique aspects of preparing meals on board an airplane. At the end of the show, a tasting paired with Mahou beers will be offered.

As capacity is limited, it is advisable to book these activities in advance. Reservations can be made online (espacio.iberia.com) or at the Espacio Iberia reception.

Uniforms of yesterday and today, and flights to New York

Living the Iberia experience involves feeling like one of its cabin crew. And what better way to do it than through their uniforms? All the outfits that Iberia staff have worn throughout the airline’s history will be on display: from the first, which had military inspiration, followed by that of Pedro Rodríguez and the iconic designs by Elio Berhanyer and Pertegaz, that of Alfredo Caral, that of Adolfo Domínguez and the current one, designed by Teresa Helbig. Visitors to the Espacio Iberia will be able to try them all on, and, if they upload their photos to IG Stories, they will take part in the draw for two Business Class flights New York.

The Espacio Iberia Store

At the Espacio Iberia there will also be a small store selling models of its planes, historical posters, the salt and pepper shakers inspired by Las Meninas that are offered in the Business in-flight service, and a version of the red bag from Teresa Helbig's uniform.

The Espacio Iberia can be visited on Calle Maestro Victoria, 3. It will be open from today until 1 July, from 12 to 9pm. Monday through Sunday, including holidays.
