Flying to Shanghai? Iberia cabin crew Pinyan Xu Wei recommends her favourite places in the city

Pinyan Xu Wei, better-known as Baini, has been Iberia cabin crew for almost three years now, since Iberia started flying to China. She is part  of the crew on the route between Madrid and Shanghai, so nobody knows this city better than she does. Here are her favourite places in the city and other recommendations...

A walk: The Yuyuan Garden – in the north of the city – is one of China’s most famous, designed during the Ming Dynasty. Tian Zi Fang is the Old Town, in the French Concession. It’s full of souvenir shops.

Delicatessen: I love Lost Heaven, near the Bund. Hakassan is more exclusive but the food is exquisite. On the top floor there is a bar with spectacular views. And the Hyatt on the Bund makes great Peking duck.

A shopping trip: Fake Market – do not leave without a tailored silk dress.

Don’t miss: The Shanghai Museum, with its more than 120,000 pieces of bronze, ceramics and jade from different dynasties. Entry is free.

The best views: Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower.
