Iberia schedules its Asturias-Madrid flight earlier to connect to 22 European destinations

  • Starting in November, the Asturias airport will open before 06:40 h.
  • Iberia's first Asturias-Madrid flight will take off at 06:40 h. and land at 07:50 h., enabling passengers to connect with 22 European flights taking off after 08:40 h.
  • Iberia operates five daily return flights between Madrid and Asturias, with connections to/from 76 Iberia destinations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia

 

Starting on 7 November, Iberia will offer more connecting flights for customers departing from Asturias. As the airport will open at 06:40, Iberia will be able to schedule its first flight from Asturias to Madrid at 06:40 h.

This first flight, for which reservations will be accepted in the next few days, will land in Madrid at 07:50 and will allow customers from Asturias to connect with 22 additional destinations in Europe.

The early flight, which the Asturian airport is accommodating by opening earlier, will give Asturian passengers at least 50 minutes to connect with flights bound for Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, London, Lyon, Milan, Munich, Nantes, Naples, Nice, Rome, Turin, Venice, Vienna, and Zurich, and also to Almeria in southern Spain and to Las Palmas and Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

The change was supported by the Tourism Office of the Asturian regional government.

People take the early morning Madrid flight can land in London with Iberia at 10:10 h, Brussels and Rome at 11:10 h, Frankfurt at 11:35 h., And Vienna at 11:40 h., allowing business travellers to return the same day.

More than 25% of Asturias-Madrid passengers now connect to international destinations via Madrid.

Iberia offers a total of 76 international destinations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. The most popular long-haul destinations for Asturian travellers are New York, Miami, Mexico City, Santo Domingo, and Buenos Aires, while Paris, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Zurich, and Milan are the most popular European destinations.
