Spanish football players visit the A350 aircraft named after Spain's National Football Team

“Selección Española de Fútbol” (“Spanish National Football Team”) is the name of Iberia’s new Airbus A350-900, a next generation aircraft featuring the latest technology and an environmentally friendly plane.

Iberia’s Chairman and CEO, Luis Gallego, hosted the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, as well as the players and coaches of the country’s national team a visit to the aircraft in Madrid airport before their flight to Bucharest where they will play against Rumania in a classifying match for the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship.

Inside the new “Selección Española de Fútbol”, the Premium Economy Class seats headrests carry the current players’ names.

Premium Economy passengers flying to destinations served by the new A350, such as New York, Chicago, and Buenos Aires --and soon to Bogotá and San José de Costa Rica-- will be able to use the seats labelled with the players’ names.

Iberia is a sponsor of the Spanish Football Federation under its #Talentoabordo programme and has long been a strong supporter of Spanish sports team.
