Iberia is among the ten world airlines who protect their customers best from infection by Covid-19, according to Safe Travel Barometer, which evaluates five variables related to hygiene measures and protocols used during the air travel experience.
At the outbreak of the pandemic Iberia was among the first to adopt all the recommendations of the Spanish Air Safety Agency (AESA), and the European Air Safety Agency (EASA), as well as those of the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC), intended to facilitate the recovery of air travel in Europe and the rest of the world in a safe environment.
In addition, Iberia’s SARS-CoV2 Prevention Plan for employees has been certified as in conformity with hygiene and control requisites of Applus Certification PHC Ed 1, and as correctly implemented in its offices, hangars, workshops, and all domestic airport work stations..
The airline is sparing no efforts to ensure the safety of its customers and staff, often reinforcing recommendations with regard to cleaning and disinfection and the use of protective gear. Its new protocols at airports and in flight are designed to ensure safety while keeping the travel experience as pleasant as possible.
All these measures and protocols are described in detail on the Iberia website
