Volando (Flying), the story of a song turned into a documentary film

"Volando" is the story of a song that one day decided to fly around the world, through its people, to get to know their customs, their cities and their places. "It is a story of music and words, a story of life; a song that is now many songs flying around the earth", says Javier Limón, producer of the song and the documentary that will be released in November on our planes.

Volando was born in 2018 to welcome Iberia's first new generation aircraft, the Airbus A350, and soon became an anthem for the company and its employees, as it is a hymn to optimism, diversity and the union of cultures and people.

The idea to compose Volando came "when Iberia told me they were taking delivery of their new Airbus A350 aircraft. I thought that 3:50' was a perfect length for a song; besides, music - like planes - unites people and brings cultures together; and that's what Volando is all about, connecting us through a melody full of good vibrations", says Limón.

Nella Rojas, winner of the Latin Grammy for new artist 2019, was the first performer of Volando, who has been joined for this documentary by artists of the stature of Michel Camillo, Alain Pérez, Inma Cuesta, Piraña, Montse Cortés and Afro-Latin musical groups, among many others.

The documentary has been filmed flying all over the world, on a long musical-cultural journey through Spain, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Havana, Panama, Boston and New York.
