Group Iberia operates 2,900 flights this Easter

This Easter, Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum will operate more than 2,900 flights. This means 122% more flights than the same week of last year, reflecting the strong recovery in travel following the worst of the pandemic.

From Monday through Easter Sunday, the three carriers together will offer more than half a million seats –525,728.  Paris, London, Rome, Athens, and Marrakesh are Iberia’s most popular destinations for an Easter break. For the low-cost Iberia Express unit, they are Bologna, Frankfurt, and Marseilles, while for Iberia Regional / Air Nostrum they are the Canary and Balearic Islands.

Spanish airports have been preparing for the first mass getaway of the year. Iberia Airport Services, will provide airport handling services to more than 10,080 flights this week, 160% more than in Easter, 2012, and only 8% fewer than in the same week of 2019.
