World Duty Free, the company that manages duty-free shops at airports, joins the Iberia Plus programme.
Starting today, Iberia’s loyalty programme members who make a purchase at World Duty Free stores at Spanish airports, as well as at London's Heathrow airport, will earn Avios for each of their purchases.
Perfumes, cosmetics, confectionery, wines, alcoholic beverages, and fashion items. For every euro spent on products purchased in World Duty Free stores at these airports, Iberia Plus members will receive 1 Avios.
To accumulate Avios, members must simply show their Iberia Plus digital card and scan the QR code when making a payment. The Avios they earn will be available within 72 hours of each qualifying purchase.
In addition, Iberia Plus customers who link their card number to their Red by Dufry profile, through its app, will earn 250 extra welcome Avios when making their first purchase and enjoy exclusive promotions in World Duty Free stores.
For their part, members of the British Airways Executive club will also earn one Avios for every euro spent when shopping in World Duty Free stores at Spanish airports.
Iberia Plus and its Advantages
Iberia Plus is the programme with which the airline rewards the loyalty of its best customers with flights and other exclusive advantages. Currently, the programme has more than 10 million cardholders and offers six card levels: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Infinita, and Infinita Prime, in addition to Iberia Plus Kids for children between two and eleven years old.
Members of the Iberia loyalty programme can earn Avios when they purchase flights on airlines partnered with the programme, as well as stays in international hotel chains, car rentals, fuel refuelling and other purchases at more than a hundred Iberia partners. Avios can be used as a currency to purchase flights, hotels, car rentals, multi-day getaways, and leisure experiences.
